During El Greco's painting period in Spain, he created "The High Altar" of the church of the College of Maria de Aragon in Madrid around 1600.
Regrettably, the 6 paintings of this Altar were dispersed to be hidden during the Napoleonic invasion in 1808.
Otsuka Museum gathered the scant written and film evidence from Romania and Spain, and the late professor Keizo Kanki succeeded in re-creating this masterpiece for the first time in the world.
